Product Description
ArteNOM Selección de 1146 Añejo is a refined, artisan tequila that surprises for its depth, elegance and barrel-driven nuance while retaining clear agave character. It’s an excellent choice for connoisseurs who appreciate an añejo with a thoughtful finish and generous complexity.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced at Casa Tequileña (NOM 1146) in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, under the guidance of master distiller Enrique Fonseca, this expression is made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands near Atotonilco el Alto. The tequila is matured via a dual-barrel aging process: approximately 60% of the spirit is aged for 2 years in used French-oak barrels (former Cabernet Franc wine casks) and 40% for 3 years, after which the blend is transferred and aged for at least an additional year in toasted American white-oak barrels (previously used for Canadian whiskey or Tennessee rye). The final product is non-chill-filtered, additive-free and bottled at ~40% ABV (80 proof).
