Product Description
The 2023 Pouilly-Fumé from de Ladoucette is a vibrant, elegant Sauvignon Blanc that strikes a beautiful balance between freshness, fruit intensity, minerality, and blossom-floral aromas. It’s ideal both as a bright aperitif and paired with seafood or light dishes.
Origins & Vineyard / Winemaking
-
The wine is made by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, whose family (the Comte Lafond) has owned the famed Château du Nozet and its surrounding Pouilly-Fumé vineyards since the late 18th century.
-
The vineyards lie in Pouilly-Fumé appellation in the Loire Valley (Nièvre, France), including plots in hamlets such as Saint-Andelain, Boisgibault, Les Loges, etc. Soils are clay, limestone, sometimes with flint (silex) components.
-
100% Sauvignon Blanc.
-
Vinification is stainless steel, with temperature-controlled fermentation; aged on lees (3-6 months), with regular stirring to build texture. No oak is used—this preserves the pure Sauvignon & terroir expression.
