The 2018 Barolo Monvigliero is delicate and fine. This lean, garnet-colored Nebbiolo peels back in thin layers with wild cherry, rose, white pepper and dried violet. However, there is a special tightness and cohesiveness to those layers that bring on a deeper sense of complexity and depth. This is a great find from Verduno."
