It grows up to about 24 inches tall, with white, pink or light purple flowers and characteristic heart-shaped seed pods along the stem. It can commonly be found along roadsides and disturbed soil in both rural and urban areas.
Shepherd’s Purse has long been an herb associated with the blood. Its common uses include helping to regulate a heavy menstrual cycle and topical applications for minor wounds.
