Melanoidin Gold Malt
Montana Craft Malt’s Melanoidin Gold Malt follows a traditional German recipe to create a high level of complex malt characteristics. This malt adds the depth of a decoction mash, enhancing beers with rich honey sweetness, subtle stone fruit notes, and biscuity undertones.
Lower in color than most melanoidin-style malts, Melanoidin Gold Malt contributes layers of malt complexity without overwhelming lighter beer styles. It is ideal for adding malt richness to pale lagers, Festbiers, pale ales, IPAs, and stouts. Recommended usage is up to 10% for lighter beers and up to 20% for stouts.
