Product Description
The 2021 Rully Blanc from Maison Louis Latour is a refined, elegant white Burgundy that offers expressive fruit and polished structure. It delivers a graceful balance of freshness, subtle oak character, and mineral clarity—an excellent choice for both near-term enjoyment and modest short-term aging.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Hailing from the village of Rully in the Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France, this wine is produced by the longstanding family‐owned house, Maison Louis Latour. The vineyards are planted on marl-limestone soils at elevations of approximately 230–300 meters, lending the wine both minerality and freshness. The 2021 vintage was vinified in stainless steel vats with temperature control, underwent full malolactic fermentation, and was matured for 8–10 months—partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel—in order to preserve fresh fruit tones while adding subtle oak nuance. Average vine age is roughly 30 years and yields are around 45 hl/ha.
Tasting Profile
-
Nose: A pale yellow hue in the glass. Aromas of gentle vanilla, fresh almond, and delicate florals lead the way, underpinned by a hint of honey and acacia blossom.
-
Palate: Rounded and supple, the wine delivers orchard fruit—pear and white apple—alongside a touch of vanilla and toasted almond. The texture is smooth, with a fine mineral undertow and a clean, dry finish that retains vibrancy.
-
Finish: The close is calm and poised, marked by subtle honeyverge, a crisp line of acidity, and a length that suggests the wine remains lively and fresh rather than overly oaked.
