Product Description

Inverroche Amber Gin is a masterful blend of South Africa’s wild botanicals and soft oak infusion. It melds citrus freshness, floral elegance, toffee richness, and woody spice into a sophisticated, drinkable, and versatile gin that shines both neat and in refined cocktails.

🌊 Origins & Distillation

  • Crafted using a distillation of fynbos botanicals—the endemic flora of South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom—harvested from coastal dunes and mountain slopes

  • The gin’s amber hue comes from gentle infusion in used oak casks, lending depth while preserving freshness .

👃 Aromatic Profile

  • Rich and aromatic with bright citrus top notes, a subtle juniper backbone, sweet toffee apple, and delicate floral nuances

  • Understated spice and wood elements add complexity and warmth.

👅 Palate & Texture

  • Full-bodied yet smooth, with a creamy mouthfeel.

  • On the palate: caramelized apple, saffron-laced citrus, cinnamon warmth, and a whisper of juniper; layered spice and oak mingle gracefully .

🔚 Finish

  • The gin finishes dry and woody, offering a lingering trail of herbs, floral echoes, and toffee—well-balanced with a refined tannic quality

🍸 Ideal Serves & Pairings

  • Delicious neat over ice or elevated in a G&T with a citrus twist.

  • Excellent in spirit-forward cocktails, especially those that benefit from oak and spice character—think Amber Negroni or barrel-aged sours.

🏅 Reputation & Enthusiast Feedback

  • Highly praised:

“The flavor complexity is ridiculous. Outstanding neat.” – a user on r/Gin

“Inverroche is arguably the best gin in the world. Both the Amber and the Verdant are beautiful.” – another fan

43% ABV, 750 ml, distilled in South Africa

Inverroche's name originates from two words that pay homage to Scottish ancestry, referencing their Celtic and Gaelic backgrounds. The Scottish word Inver - means a confluence of water, and the French word Roche means rock or stone. Lorna Scott and her family founded Inverroche, and the distillery has gone on to become a household name in the Western Cape of South Africa, precisely the Stillbaai area. In six years, the distillery has gone from being a small home industry to a household name, flourishing and pioneering craft distillery, using their gins to reconnect people to each other and the natural environment.
