Product description
The Dexcom ONE Sensor is the wearable component of the Dexcom ONE Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system, providing up to 10 days of factory-calibrated, real-time glucose readings without routine fingerstick calibration or scanning.
The Dexcom ONE Sensor works in conjunction with the Dexcom ONE Transmitter (sold separately) to measure glucose levels in the interstitial fluid just below the skin, sending readings wirelessly to a compatible smartphone or optional Dexcom ONE receiver every 5 minutes. Because the sensor is factory calibrated, no routine fingerstick blood glucose readings are required to set a baseline or maintain accuracy during the 10-day wear period, although optional fingerstick calibration is available if desired. Customisable high and low glucose alerts help users stay informed of significant glucose changes, and trend arrows displayed alongside each glucose value show the direction and rate of change to support better day-to-day diabetes management decisions.
The sensor is inserted in a single push using the included auto-applicator, with the insertion needle automatically retracting after application so that only the flexible sensor filament remains under the skin. Following insertion, a warm-up period of approximately 2 hours is required before glucose readings begin. The sensor is water resistant to IP68 (up to 2.4 metres for up to 24 hours), making it suitable for use during daily activities including swimming, showering and bathing. Please note that the Dexcom ONE Transmitter must be purchased separately and is required to transmit sensor data to the display device.
