Product Description

This is a striking Cognac built for both refined sipping and premium cigar pairing. With rich depth, sophisticated aging, and the hallmark influence of the Grande Champagne terroir, it delivers a harmonious blend of fruit, wood, spice and “rancio” complexity—ideal for serious enjoyment, not casual mixing.

Origins & Craftsmanship
From the family-owned estate of Frapin in the Grand Champagne (Premier Cru) region of Cognac, France, this expression is crafted exclusively from estate-grown Ugni Blanc grapes. Distilled over the lees and matured in humid cellars in Limousin oak barrels, the eau-de-vie ages gracefully, allowing the development of “rancio” character—an evolved, dry, nutty and complex profile typical of very old Grande Champagne spirits. Though marketed as a “Cigar Blend,” it is in fact a single-estate creation with an advanced maturation profile designed to complement rich flavours.

Tasting Profile

  • Nose: Elegant and layered, with warm vanilla, dried nuts (walnut and hazelnut), subtle dried fruit (fig, raisin), and a refined note of old port mingled with cigar-box cedar.

  • Palate: Silky texture with honeyed malt beginnings, developing into walnut shell, toasted oak, dried apricot and gentle spice (nutmeg/clove). A subtle tobacco leaf or cedar note builds in the background, adding depth without dominating.

  • Finish: Long, warm and contemplative—a graceful aftertaste of rancio-style dried flowers, candied peel, dark caramel and a trace of leather. The woody tannins are refined and the finish leaves an echo of vintage elegance.
