The Zulu Slip Joint TAD Edition is Javi Garcia’s interpretation of the classic Zulu Spear designed by the legendary knife maker Tony Bose. Garcia adapted the Bose design with a smaller length frame, making for an ideal size for everyday carry, and modernized the traditional slip joint pattern with a full titanium frame and a Bohler M390 blade.
A contoured solid titanium frame makes for a robust build update to this slip joint pattern. The titanium slabs have a fine bead blast finish with faux bolster. Our signature laser etched topo pattern is applied to the handle, and our logo is opposite Garcia’s at the base of the blade. The M390 spear point is perfectly ground and finished in a hand rubbed satin. The blade joins the matching M390 backspring perfectly for years of reliable use. There is no need to shy away from using this classic. The dimensions ensure a strong knife that is ready to work, but still carries easily in the pocket.
The “walk and talk” is the heart of every slip joint and here Garcia’s precision tolerances shine through. A pronounced, deliberate half step opening remains smooth throughout the entire transition to fully open.
