This is a ZOX I made for my daughter, Luna, as a way to remember her right now, at 4 years old.
As a dad, I think it's hard not to look back at photos of our kids and reminisce over the good times. For me personally, it's almost as if it's this strange sadness where every one of those moments with their adorable little voice is something I can't help but feel I didn't appreciate enough in the moment.
But if I'm honest with myself, I know I care deeply about being the best parent I can be - a job with no guide book that feels as if you're making it up as you go.
And out of all my effort to be a good dad, one thing has stuck out - being present with our kids is all that matters. They don't care how successful you are, they don't care about your new car, your job title or how important you may be - they just care about spending time with you.
