Internal 1.2mm Titanium Mega Dermal Anchor – 2mm or 2.5mm Rise and Double-Hole Base – Price per 1 This Mega Dermal Anchor was developed by Kala Kaiwi, a body modification artist at Sin City Body Mods based in Hilo, Hawaii. Kala holds a Guinness World Record for the biggest stretched earlobes and has hundreds of other body modifications. His cleverly designed anchor features a unique double-hole base that is much larger than other dermal anchors in the industry. The base is 8mm long, 4mm wide, and has a thickness of 0.5mm, which allows for a bigger 3mm hole at the front (toe) of the anchor and a 2.5mm oval at the back (heel). This "mega" dermal style provides maximum connection of tissue through the base and more stability, dramatically reducing the risk of rejection. To install the Mega Dermal Anchor, Kala Kaiwi uses a 2.0mm (12g) dermal punch and a dermal anchor assistant tool; please see below for our list of our available tools for installation. The rise is 1.6mm thick (14g) and comes in two options: 2mm and 2.5mm. The mega dermal anchor has internal 1.2mm threading, which is compatible with our standard 14g-12g internally threaded jewelry; please view here for compatible threaded tops and ends.
