The Danish architect and designer Arne Vodder is considered to be one of the most important Danish architects in the middle of the 20th century. Arne Vodder worked together with Sibast Furniture for a period of more than 20 years in the 1950´and 1960´s and designed a large part of the line furniture that was exported to the USA at that time and during a period when Sibast Furniture delivered to such prominent customers as the White House in Washington and the Pope in Rome. One of the designs that Arne Vodder created for Sibast Furniture in the 1950´s was the Sideboard No 11 designed in 1957 and which was a smaller format of the Sideboard 29A that was honered with the first prize at the Trienale in Milan in 1957. The AV 11 Sideboard is crafted in the highest quality at our recognized joinery in Denmark and with the same artisanal principles that characterized the original sideboards that were made at Sibast in the 1950´s in a combination of veneer on the larger surfaces and and massive wood on the edges. The backside of the sideboard is also made with veneer so it will appear beautiful from all sides when placed freestanding in a room. The front of the sideboard always consist of veener on one side and colored mdf on the other side, which can be turned to create different expressions. There are two shelves - one in each side - included in the sideboard as standard.
