Handmade in Italy, the SCRIBO PIUMA fountain pen features a seamless barrel and cap. The stone-like purple resin body is complemented by yellow gold trim, and fills with a cartridge/converter (included). It is fitted with an in-house made nib in 14k gold Flexible sizes or 18k gold standard sizes, with an ebonite feed. Each pen comes with a matching pen sleeve made of genuine leather and cotton. PIUMA Ametista is a limited production run of 219 pieces. Handmade with a vivid purple resin that reproduces the effect of stone, the Ametista PIUMA is inspired by the Amethyst and its symbolism. Amethyst is a variety of quartz, characterized by the presence of purplish shades. It often originates in sub-alkaline basaltic rocks. Known to man since 3,000 BC, this crystal was mined and venerated in Egypt, South Africa and Mesopotamia. The name amethyst derives from the Greek “améthystos” meaning “not drunk”, an etymology at the basis of one of the most fascinating myths in history. The SCRIBO PIUMA Ametista, with yellow gold finish, is inspired by one of the longest-lived precious stones a symbol of the elixir of life.
