The Sailor VEILIO 4th Edition represents a breakthrough in Japanese fountain pen engineering, utilizing high-quality clear acrylic resin that is meticulously shaped and polished with a lathe. While shaping the outer surface is common, Sailor employs a proprietary special lathe blade to polish the inner surface of the transparent material one by one. This difficult process ensures the pen is alluringly flawless and smooth both inside and out, allowing the fluid marble patterns to showcase the internal components, including a color-coordinated converter. Each pen is fitted with Sailor’s flagship 21K gold nib. This collection is part of the Sailor Bespoke program, meaning it is only available to five authorized Sailor Bespoke retailers in North America, with extremely limited availability. The VEILIO series—a name combining "veil" and iro, the Japanese word for color—features a stunning marble pattern flowing through a clear acrylic barrel.  This Blue Purple pen features an acrylic marble with two shades of blue and purple glitter—a first-ever feature for the series—paired with polished nickel chrome trim and a transparent blue grip section. As a handturned pen, the overall dimensions are slightly different than a normal Pro Gear Slim or Standard. Please refer to our Tech Specs for detailed measurements.
