Product Description

L’Ermitage 2015 is a luxurious, Old World–inspired Californian sparkling wine: rich yet vibrant, with layered yeasty complexity, orchard fruit, and spice, rounded by bright acidity and a polished finish. A standout for special occasions and rewarding cellaring.

🍾 Prestige Tête-de-Cuvée

  • Crafted only in exceptional years from estate-grown Chardonnay (52%) and Pinot Noir (48%), this vintage brut is Roederer Estate’s flagship sparkler. It follows Champagne Louis Roederer’s tradition, with a proprietary blend of reserve wines and at least five years on the lees before disgorgement

👁 Appearance & Texture

  • Exhibits a deep golden color and a creamy mousse with persistently fine bubbles, delivering a plush yet refined mouthfeel

👃 Aromatic Profile

  • On the nose: prominent aromas of toasted hazelnut and brioche, alongside nutty pecan, clove, and baked green apple—underscored by a flinty mineral note and fresh bread character

👅 Palate & Finish

  • The palate is plush and layered: Bosc pear, Asian pear, baked apple, quince jelly, complemented by mouthwatering acidity and a clean, dry finish. Spiced undertones of clove, nutmeg, and citrus provide depth and elegance

⭐ Critical Acclaim

  • 97 pts, James Suckling: “Powerful and dense… lots of brioche, pie crust and bread dough. Great finish.”

  • 96 pts, Wine Enthusiast (Cellar Selection): “Complex and layered… toasted walnut, Bosc pear and fresh bread… best now to 2028.”

  • 94 pts, Wine Spectator: “Baked apple, roasted hazelnut, clove… lingering richness.”

🍽️ Serving & Aging

  • Best served chilled, paired with oysters, crab, lobster, or creamy canapés.

  • Though ready to enjoy now, it will continue to evolve gracefully through 2028+, with its structure suggesting even longer aging potential

"This grand, special-occasion wine is wonderfully complex and layered, but also powerful in the way its toasted walnut, Bosc pear and fresh bread flavors start out strong in the aroma and keep pumping on the palate and through a lingering finish. Nice and dry, tangy but mouthfilling, it's a sophisticated indulgence. Best now to 2028." Wine Enthusiast 96 Points, Cellar Selection

"Classically styled and expressively vibrant, this bubbly opens to flavors of baked apple, roasted hazelnut, clove, nutmeg and other spices. The finish fans out, building a lingering richness." Wine Spectator 94 Points
