Reptile green with golden brown undertones and a walnut brown printed stripe. High sheen. A mid weight acrylic fabric with a very soft, slightly coarse 6mm pile.
There are 2 types of faux (fake) fur: knit and woven. Knit furs are less expensive and usually made of polyester, they tend to distort, stretch and are prone to shedding. Woven furs are of the highest, longest lasting quality and are primarily made in France or Belgium. This fabric is a premium faux fur made in Belgium by Tyber mills. The pile is soft, durable 100% acrylic, the backing is 46% cotton /27% viscose /27% poly. The manufacturer strongly recommends professionally dry cleaning. Gentle cycle, cold water washing is possible, but it may be a good idea to test beforehand. Air dry only, fabric must NOT be put in the dryer, heat and friction will permanently matt the fibers. Do not store in plastic, the fabric needs to breath much like a real fur. This luxurious fabric is ideal for apparel (coats, vests, wraps, sweater trim, collars and cuffs); crafts and costumes; and home decor projects (decorative toss pillows, headboards, and throws). Use a backing fabric for items that will show the backing.
