Heat Tolerant Shrub + Giant Red Blooms

Why Red Rhododendron Shrubs?

Extreme heat tolerance meets huge red blooms in the spring, making the Red Rhododendron second to none. In fact, this heat-tolerant Rhododendron can go where no rhododendron has ever gone before...thriving in direct sunlight or partial shade.

Popular for its huge clusters of vibrant red flowers, this shrub takes any garden up a notch. And not only is it stunning...but it's also adaptable to an array of conditions, from poor soil to sweltering temperatures and beyond. The Red Rhododendron is even drought-tolerant, so you won't have to worry about installing irrigation or watering constantly.

From flower beds to walkways and property borders or groupings along your foundation, the Red Rhododendron delights. You can grow them just about anywhere you want!

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

First, your Red Rhododendron is shipped in a larger container with nutrient-rich soil, ensuring you receive an established and better-developed plant. Many of our competitors only offer small sizes, which will take years to reach an appealing height.

And unlike other big-box garden centers, we never ship bare-root. When your Red Rhododendron arrives at your door, it has its healthy roots intact to deliver bolder color, bigger blooms, and better branching than ever before.

You'll be excited about your new rhododendrons. Watch them quickly fill in voids with scarlet blooms and glossy foliage that are not found in any other specimen. Get your Red Rhododendron today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Select an area with full to partial sun (4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. From there, dig a hole large enough to accommodate your shrub's rootball, place your shrub, and backfill the soil.
Water after planting to settle your shrub's roots.
2. Watering: You should water when the surface soil dries about 1 to 3 inches down. Once your Red is established, rainfall should suffice, but you'll want to water your young shrubs about once or twice weekly.

3. Fertilizing: Feed with a well-balanced fertilizer after your shrub's blooms have dropped.

4. Pruning: Shear for shaping purposes in fall or early winter. You can remove dead and broken branches at any time of the year.
