Product Description
Poul Kjærholm’s very first dining chair – the light, elegant and comfortable PK1 – was designed in 1955 and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn since 2017. It takes a skilled craftsmen 15 hours and 180 meters of paper cord to weave the seat on the PK1. The complicated weaving technique, which is equally beautiful from both the front and the back, was specially developed for PK1, and the inspiration behind the technique is taken from Kjærholm’s original work with peddig pipes.
