Planting: Select an area with full sun to partial shade (4 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-drained soil or select a container with drainage holes for planting. Once you’ve got your location (or your container, which should be twice the size of the shipped container), dig a hole that’s around twice the size of your plant’s root ball and just as deep. Then, place your shrub, tamp down the soil and water to settle the roots.2. Watering: Generally, it’s ideal to check your surrounding soil about 2 to 3 inches down for dryness. If the soil is dry at this depth, it’s time to water. Watering about once or twice weekly is a good rule of thumb for your New Love.3. Pruning: After your plant has completed blooming for the year, prune back the shrub for shaping and fuller blooming the next season.
