Product Description

Soggy spots in the garden? This native, deciduous Viburnum thrives in moist areas and is perfect for those tough locations. Nannyberry Viburnum can also adapt to drier locations when provided adequate watering. While highly shade-tolerant, it attains a larger size when planted in open spaces. During late spring, the creamy white flowers are remarkably showy, followed by striking, bright red fruits, or drupes. These drupes mature into a rich blue-black color in the fall. They are not only edible but also well-suited for making jams and jellies. The young stems exhibit a brown/copper hue, transitioning from dark gray to black as they mature. With mild resistance to deer damage, this plant attracts butterflies, pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. Additionally, it serves as the larval host for the Spring Azure butterfly. Well-suited for pollinator gardens, borders, hedges, or as a privacy screen, this Viburnum is a versatile and attractive addition to various landscaping settings.Viburnum lentago
