Steeped in history and over a century of knowledge, our brick and mortar store, Merz Apothecary, has always provided a delightful experience for those seeking unique, hard-to-find personal care items.  When customers step through the stained glass door, the most common phrase we hear is, "It smells SO good in here!" We created this candle to capture the intriguing aromas of our store. Cedar and vetiver from our fragrance counter mingle with armoise and medicinal herbs, topped off by the cassis notes of classic European pastilles. Welcome to Merz Apothecary.  To celebrate 150 years in business, we've created our own candle, so you can bring the scent of our brick & mortar store home with you! Hand poured right here in Chicago this candle lets you bring 80 hours of that elusive and comforting fragrance home with you. Opening with the unique notes of armoise and buchu to commemorate our rich herbal selection, and bergamot and sage to brighten things up, just like our vintage chandeliers. The middle is comprised of vetiver, magnolia, violet and rose adding depth and warmth with a touch of floral. These notes are classic and fragrant just like our expansive niche fragrance selection. Finishing with sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli and musk the base here is just like the rich woods of our historic pharmacy counters and elegant hardwood floors.
