Iris is the skin-soft, initial impression we enjoy, a lavender colored-powder that shimmers, like silk stockings over skin. After iris's gentle introduction, violet surges forth, a spicy, tart note that conveys an eager insouciance, a flash of d?colletage between the dancers waiting in the wings. Rose, like the smooth, linear surface of the dancers' torsos, is bright, clean and slightly fruity, a light, pearlescent pink texture that constitutes part of the shiny, reflective surface that makes Pluriel Feminin such a potent, energetic force. Alternately, jasmine is all earthy sweetness, as round and taut as the shapely musculature of a ballerina's legs, an opaque fruity sensation that absorbs (rather than reflects) light. But lily-of-the-valley is a great conductor of light, its white, satin purity gleaming alongside rose, the energy between those delicately arranged fingertips. At base, Pluriel Feminin is fundamentally lush, yet still piquant. Orange blossom imparts a tangy, lush quality that allows the gleaming, rich florals that precede it to feel flexible (not strident) on skin. Vetiver is a smart accent of this dynamic bouquet, its mineral-rich, soily spice tempering the sweetness inherent to this collection of blooms. Patchouli supplies a plummy, subtle smoke that drapes these vibrant florals, softening their peaks and valleys into a wearable art.
