Unique Bloom Spikes and Evergreen Foliage
With a lower spreading silhouette and evergreen foliage, the unique Little John Dwarf Bottlebrush fits in any garden. Even better? It’s set apart by its deep red, brush-like floral spikes that cover from spring into summer, living up to its name and offering season-to-season visual interest.
Plus, Little John’s dense branching is improved by aromatic blue-green leaves. So, the blooms aren’t the only interesting feature since its leaves emanate a sweet citrus scent when crushed. And since its versatile, compact size is ideal for any area, you’ll get the benefits of good looks, drought tolerance and soil adaptability wherever you plant it.
But the best part? Our Little John is planted, grown and meticulously monitored, long before it ever arrives to your door. We’ve put in the extra work so that you’ll get the benefits of its consistent size, shape and blooms, making it a proven performer in your homescape.
You reap the rewards, all without effort or hassle. You can expect these benefits and more from your Little John for the life of the plant. Order your own Little John before it’s gone!

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Little John in a reliably sunny area (one that receives 6 to 8 hours of sunlight a day) and in well-drained soil. Once you’ve chosen a location, dig a hole that’s two to three times the size of your shrub’s root ball, place your Little John, then back fill the soil while tamping down the soil to avoid air pockets. After planting, water your shrub to settle the roots.2. Watering: Water your Little John regularly during the first growing season to establish its root system, approximately once per week. You can reduce the frequency of watering once it’s established. If you’re not sure when to water, however, simply check its surrounding soil, down to about 2 or 3 inches. If the soil is dry, it’s time to water your plant.
3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring for best results.
4. Pruning: Prune to shape your shrub after it flowers during the summer season.
