Product Description

Striking in both appearance and flavour, the Catrina Rosé Reposado presents an elegant blend of agave essence and rosé-inspired barrel character. With its blush-toned hue, hand-painted ceramic bottle and smooth repose, it’s a standout expression in the Catrina series — ideal for sipping neat or creating elevated cocktails.

Origins & Craftsmanship

Crafted in Jalisco, Mexico by the house of La Cofradía, this edition begins with 100 % Blue Weber agave grown in-house. After traditional harvest, slow roasting and small-batch double distillation, the spirit is rested in French oak barrels previously used for red wine (or French oak lightly charred) for around six months — the barrel influence imparts a subtle pink hue and soft rosé-like character. The hand-painted ceramic decanter features the iconic La Catrina skeleton motif, honoring Mexico’s Día de los Muertos tradition.

Critics Reviews

  • A specialty spirits retailer describes the Rosé Reposado as “a 100 % agave reposado aged in red-wine barrels, presenting fresh agave with floral undertones and gentle red-berry notes.”

  • Another commentary observes that the expression “blends the tradition of Jalisco agave with an innovative barrel finish for gentle vanilla and toasted oak nuance over cooked agave and bright fruit.”

  • While major international critic scores are not widely published, industry observers highlight that the combination of artisan bottle, limited barrel treatment and agave craftsmanship gives this release strong value for display and sipping.

Tasting Profile

  • Nose: Pale rose-amber tint in the glass; aromas of freshly roasted agave, rose petal, red berries and pomegranate, layered with light citrus peel and subtle toasted oak.

  • Palate: Medium-bodied with gentle sweetness: cooked agave leads into red-berry compote (strawberry, pomegranate), vanilla bean, soft oak spice and a whisper of mineral saline.

  • Finish: Smooth and rounded; the red-berry sweetness recedes to toasted oak, mild pepper-spice and a delicate mineral twang. The finish is elegant and well-balanced.
