Product Description
This 50ml glass bottle of Jacques Herbin 1798 Diamant Bleu fountain pen ink is a deep blue with silver shimmer. Each bottle cap is hand dipped in sealing wax, with a stamped "1798" seal on the front of the bottle, and is individually packaged in a collector edition box.
With its deep and mysterious tones, Diamant Bleu ink shimmers with subtle silver reflections. It evokes the beauty and elegance of the rare blue diamond—a precious stone from India. The ink’s rich hue conjures the quiet allure of summer nights.
1798 commemorates a significant year in Jacques Herbin's history. At this time, the French Revolution was ending, and the Herbin company, founded in 1670, was growing. In 1798 the company relocated to expand their production capabilities and the influence of their inks and sealing wax.
Due to the amount of particulate in this ink used to achieve the sparking look, you may experience restricted ink flow in some of your pens. We recommend shaking the ink thoroughly before filling and gently rolling the pen in your hands often to keep the shimmer effect consistent. This will also help prevent clogging. You will also want to be diligent about cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.
