A functional handle for drawers or doors, crafted by New Maker Jacob Marks. Individually hand-cast from pine resin, a natural substance sourced from Portuguese pine, fir and cedar trees. Jute fibres and charcoal are mixed in to create a deep tone and tactile finish.
Jacob's inventive use of pine resin is expressed through a distinctive range of decorative vessels and home accessories. Based in London, he is motivated by the material's renewable and biodegradable properties.
This item is part of our New Makers programme. In its eighth year, five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship have been chosen by a TOAST panel.
