The Glen Haworth #8 is a vintage inspired full tang cleaver, designed and crafted by hand for heavy use and elegant presentation. Constructed with 3/16 inch thick 80CRV2 high carbon steel and tempered by hand for toughness and edge retention with an antiqued food safe oil temper patina, this cleaver blends modern material and styling together for an heirloom quality tool and craftsmanship not found in modern mass produced tools.
With an edge length of 8.125 inches, 16 inches overall by 5.62 inches edge to toe, the #8 is a powerhouse chopper. The scalloped heel affords the user a higher overhand pinch grip. With 8.5 inches of handle, the flared tang provides index for the long stroke chop.
High polish black paper micarta meets a polished spine with black G10 liners and forward facing Wenge inserts offset the smooth feel with subtle raised grain. Sleek and sophisticated, sculpted for index and feel the black carbon fiber pins nearly disappear in the sheen.
Born to work, the #8 is not simply a knife but rather an heirloom tool built to stand the test of time.
