Description

Teko is a marmoset — a small monkey species native to South America, often weighing less than a pound.  These social animals are normally found in the wild among their families, but Teko has spent most of his life in isolation and confinement. When he was rescued among dozens of animals from a breeder, he was malnourished and had several untreated injuries. Teko is suffering from hind limb weakness and a badly damaged tail that continues to cause him pain. He is also being treated for metabolic bone disease and marmoset wasting syndrome, both chronic conditions common in marmosets that will require lifelong care. While Teko is already undergoing treatment, he still needs surgery to remove the injured portion of his tail. With your help, Teko can continue the urgent treatment he needs to heal and relieve his pain. Give this little monkey the chance to heal and live free from pain.
