Origins & Craftsmanship Block UU is one of the most prized parcels within the historic Bien Nacido Vineyard, originally planted in the early 1970s. Its old vines yield low-cropped, concentrated fruit with natural tension and complexity. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented entirely in barrel to build texture and nuance. The wine rests eight months on the lees, gaining creamy weight and flavor integration. About 25% new French oak puncheons are used, lending restrained toast and spice.
