Product Description

This is a deeply refined, ultra-aged tequila that leans into richness without losing its agave core—a balance many extra añejos struggle to maintain. El Tequileño Extra Añejo delivers layered complexity, velvety texture, and a profile that comfortably bridges tequila and fine aged whisky. A serious sipping tequila built for collectors and seasoned enthusiasts.

Origins & Craftsmanship

Produced by El Tequileño in the historic town of Tequila, Jalisco, this expression reflects over six decades of traditional tequila-making. The distillery, founded in 1959, continues to use 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands, combined with mineral-rich volcanic spring water and copper pot distillation.

As an Extra Añejo, the tequila is aged a minimum of three years in oak barrels—often significantly longer—allowing for deep interaction between spirit and wood. The final blend is carefully assembled from select mature barrels, chosen for richness, depth, and textural finesse.

The result is a tequila that emphasizes long aging, barrel selection, and blending precision, rather than overt sweetness or heavy-handed oak influence.
