Product Description

Rubus fruticosus Columbia Sunrise is one of the earliest—if not the earliest—thornless blackberry ever developed! The vigorous, trailing plants produce abundant yields of large, firm, and deliciously sweet berries with a slightly elongated shape. Perfect for both hand-picking and machine harvesting, Columbia Sunrise offers ease-of-harvest for home gardeners and market growers alike. Its early ripening nature means it typically escapes damage from common pests like the spotted wing drosophila. Bred and released by the USDA breeding program in Corvallis, Oregon. Hardy in zones 5-9.

Blackberry plants are 1 year old and ship late March in 3 ½ inch pots. Order early for best availability. Detailed planting information and growing instructions are included with each order and may be obtained below. Available only in the contiguous US.
