Product Description

Cazcanes No. 9 Blanco is a bold, refined high-proof blanco tequila designed for the serious agave enthusiast. With its 50% ABV, it delivers greater intensity and depth than a standard blanco, translating into a richer mouthfeel, expansive flavour profile and lasting finish—excellent for both sipping neat and elevated cocktails.

Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced in Jalisco, Mexico (Amatitán region) by the house of Cazcanes, this tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the valley (Los Valles) region. The agave piñas are cooked in a low-pressure autoclave over 24 hours, then extracted using a four-pass roller mill. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with proprietary yeast and water trucked in from volcanic Navichi Springs. The distillate is double-distilled in stainless steel with copper coils, then aerated and rested 1-3 months before bottling. It is additive-free, certified organic and bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof).
Batch info: NOM 1614.

Tasting Profile

  • Nose: Cooked agave sweetness leads, complemented by floral notes, wet stone/minerality, cinnamon, cloves, salted toffee, baked pineapple and hints of grapefruit and green cardamom.

  • Palate: Clean yet earthy with bold sweet agave, black pepper, lime zest, anise and an underlying mineral edge. The 50% proof brings spice and richness without overwhelming.

  • Finish: Long, vibrant and impactful—agave intensity remains, pepper and anise linger, citrus zest and minerality fade out with elegance.
