- Primary Usage: Aroma (also suited for dual-purpose use)
- Best Beer Styles: Pale Ale, IPA, Blonde Ale, Amber Ale, American Wheat

Background
Developed by Oregon State University and released by the USDA in the early 1970s, Cascade is a cross between Fuggle and a Russian Serebrianka-derived male. It rose to prominence with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and remains one of the most iconic American hop varieties. The Cryo Hops® version, created through Yakima Chief’s LupuLN2® process, allows brewers to highlight Cascade’s grapefruit and floral qualities in an ultra-refined format that enhances aroma without excessive green matter.
