Achieves greater than 90% effectiveness against adult fleas within 4 hours for dogs
Capstar (nitenpyram) is a fast and effective over the counter treatment for flea infestations. Capstar kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs. If your dog gets re-infested all you have to do is give an additional dose. Capstar can be given as often as once a day for re-infestations. If you currently give your pet a monthy flea prevention and they still get fleas, you may administer Capstar. It can also be given with flea shampoos. Capstar is used to quickly treat an existing flea infestation. A monthly flea prevention is recommended for long-term prevention. This product is safe for pregnant and nursing dogs.
