Product Description
BugBarrier tree bands are designed to provide an unobtrusive method to trapping insects that climb up the trucks of trees. Insects are trapped on the inward-facing part of the barrier band, leaving the band looking clean and trapping the bugs out of sight throughout the season. Easy to install, effective, and easy to remove. Use for Spotted Lantern Fly, Spongy (Gypsy) Moth, Cankerworm, Winter moth, and several other climbing insects. 30 feet long.
To use BugBarrier Tree Bands:
- Wrap one layer of the 3" wide white fiber material around the tree at 4.5' up so it clings to the bark. Do not apply tension to the material.
- Wrap a second layer overtop the first. For deeply furrowed bark, use a narrow putty knife to push the fiber into all the furrows.
- For trees up to 24" in dia., measure enough green film barrier to go around the fiber barrier and cut it. For trees over 2' to 4' in dia. add six more inches of overlap
- Apply film in the same direction as the fiber. Peel about 12" of protective backing from the film to expose the adhesive. Align the top edge of adhesive with the top edge of fiber barrier to the fiber is completely covered by the film. Wrap the film snugly to the fiber.
