Delicious and Unique Fruit with Flavorful Crystals

Why Australian Finger Limes?

This compact and bush-like tree produces a one-of-a-kind fruit in large quantities. In addition, it grows well in a variety of locations and climate conditions.

The Australian Finger Lime is a rare, slender fruit originating from Australia. Once sliced open, crystal-like pulp flows out - giving you a juicy and citrusy treat!

This tree is suitable in a number of locations and requires very little maintenance. It will even withstand cooler weather, and is the perfect option for tight spots in the garden due to its compact nature.

The best part? At BrighterBlooms.com, we provide a superior root system you won’t get anywhere else. In fact, we’ve grown this unique citrus tree months ahead of time so you get a well-rooted and healthier variety before it arrives at your door.

If you’re a citrus-lover, you’re in for a tasty treat! Hurry and get your Australian Finger Lime today!

Planting & Care

Planting: Choose a location where your tree is going to get plenty of sunlight. If your winter temperatures drop consistently below 40 degrees, plant your tree in a container that can easily be brought outside in the summer.

Then, fill your pot with soil, place your tree, and backfill the rest of the soil. Finally, water to settle the roots.

Watering: After watering, generally about once or twice weekly, allow the top 2 to 3 inches of the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Mulching can help retain the soil moisture and also combat competing grasses/weeds.When you water, stop once you see it escaping the drainage holes at the base of the pot.

Fertilizing: Feed your lime tree during the warmer spring and summer seasons with a citrus specific fertilizer once every six weeks. During the fall and winter season, ease back to fertilizing once every 2 to 3 months. Once the tree has matured a bit, you can skip the cold season fertilization.

Pruning: Make 45-degree angle cuts to remove dead or crossing limbs. After the tree fruits, remove any dead wood.

Pollination: Though this tree is self-fertile, for indoor trees, you can pollinate by hand by taking a small paintbrush and sticking it into the center of the bloom. Swirl it around and collect the pollen on the brush. Go to the next bloom and repeat the process until every bloom has been treated.
