Lemon essential oil has a light, fresh, citrus aroma. Quality Lemon essential oil should smell like the freshly scraped lemon peel, sharp and green, not powdery and candy-like. The color of the oil is yellow to light green. It is cold expressed from the peel of lemon. Lemon Essential Oil blends well with the following: Cardamom Essential Oil, Chamomile Roman Essential Oil, Eucalyptus Essential Oil Australiana, Frankincense Essential Oil (Olibanum), Ginger Essential Oil, Juniper Berry Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Rose Otto Essential Oil Bulgarian, Sandalwood Essential Oil East Indian, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Complete Properties: antimicrobial, antirheumatic, antiseptic, anti-oxidant, antispasmodic, astringent, cicatrisant, decongestant, diuretic, insecticidal, rubefacient, tonic, vermifuge, vasoconstrictor Special note: Citrus Oils in their pure state, may appear cloudy or contain small particles of wax. This occurs naturally in the oil and becomes most apparent when stored in cold areas. It is recommended, however, that these oils be stored in a cold place to ensure longevity and quality. If the clarity is a concern, you may wish to filter until clear, however once cooled again the cloudy appearance may return. The clarity may improve through storing the oil at room temperature, but this will reduce the shelf life and is not recommended.
