8g Gilson Suspension Hook – 3mm Thick Pin with 50mm Gape This polished Gilson Hook is manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel with an 8g (3mm) titanium pin and 2” (50mm) gape. A wing-nut and bolt fastener are included with the Gilson hook and for a fee, the titanium pin can be anodized to one of 13 colors at our Painful Pleasures facility in Hanover, MD Results from Jay Nuñez at West Side Suspension Team show that the 3mm x 50mm Gilson Hooks begin to bend at 157lbs. and are capable of supporting a maximum weight of 201lbs. These 3mm x 50mm Gilson hooks are not recommended for single or two point suspensions; they are good for multiple point and static suspensions so that the weight can be better distributed. These hooks can be used in combination with other hooks. For example, 4mm x 50mm or 5mm x 50mm hooks can be used on the back area while this 3mm x 50 hook can be used on the knees and calves for the six point Lotus (this is dependent on the person's weight).
