Our steal this morning comes to us all the way from Mexico! Our 6 Hole Sugar Molds have been handmade by the same family for over 100 years using the same materials and methods! Each piece has a slightly different and organic freeform design. These molds are truly beautiful and literally are one of a kind!
Did you know that sugar molds are made from long solid blocks of wood? They have a series of holes cut into them so raw brown sugar cane syrup can be poured into them. Once the sugar dries the syrup forms into a cone that gets wrapped in paper and sold to consumers. In the 1800's it was easier to transport and store sugar molds than the actual canes.
Our molds can be used for just about anything! They can be made into a floral centerpiece display with succulents herb stems or flowers! You can place candles in the holes and use them as a candle holder! The holes would even be great to store craft room or office supplies too!
